Terms

Terms of use

In short: the calculators are maths, not official decisions.

1. Description of the service

laskeprosentti.com provides free calculators and related content. By using the site you accept these terms. The service is intended for general use as is, without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.

2. The nature of the calculators

The calculators perform a mathematical calculation with the numbers the user enters. The result is not:

  • a tax decision, tax code or official tax estimate
  • a loan offer, credit decision or investment advice
  • a payslip or an employer-confirmed calculation
  • a healthcare instruction, drug dosage or blood-alcohol estimate
  • legal advice

The user is responsible for making sure the numbers entered are correct, and for how the result is used. For important decisions the result should be verified with a competent body, such as HMRC, a bank, an employer, a trade union or a healthcare professional.

3. Limitation of liability

We aim to keep the calculators and information correct and up to date, but we don't guarantee that they are error-free, uninterrupted or current. We are not liable for direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the site, from being unable to use it, or from a result a calculator gives, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

4. Intellectual property

The site's content, design and source code are protected by copyright. Content may be quoted briefly with a source citation and a working link. Large-scale copying, automated scraping and republishing the content without permission are prohibited. Individual results from the calculators are free to use – they are maths.

5. External links and trademarks

The site refers to authorities, companies and organisations, such as HMRC and banks, purely for informational purposes. We are not their official service, representative or partner, and we are not responsible for the content of external sites. The names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners.

6. Advertising

The site may show ads that fund the running of the service. The ads are distinct from the content and don't affect the results the calculators give.

7. Changes to the terms and applicable law

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when they are published on this page. The service is governed by the law of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
