Privacy policy

The short version

We don't ask for your name and we don't require registration. The numbers you enter into the calculators are processed entirely in your own browser and never reach our server. The share links on the salary and tax calculators don't contain the numbers you entered.

What data we process

1. The numbers entered into the calculators. Processed only in your browser (JavaScript). The data isn't sent to a server or stored in a database. If you use the calculation history, the data is saved in your browser's localStorage on your own device, and you can delete it at any time with the button under the calculator or by clearing your browser data.
2. Visitor analytics. We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand which calculators are useful and which pages people leave quickly. The measurement collects, among other things, the page path, the referring site, a rough location, the device type and the browser. We don't link this data to a person and we don't send the numbers entered into the calculators to the analytics.
3. Advertising. The site may show Google ads. The advertising partner may use cookies and similar technologies to target and measure ads. You can manage ad settings in Google's own ad settings and in your browser's settings.
4. Server logs. The hosting provider stores technical log data, such as the IP address, a timestamp and the requested address. These are used for security and fault diagnosis, and are deleted at the end of the retention period.

Legal basis and retention

For essential functionality and security, the basis is legitimate interest. For visitor analytics and advertising, we ask for consent via the cookie notice. Analytics data is retained for the measurement service's default retention period, and server logs for a shorter time. The calculation history saved in your browser stays until you delete it yourself.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to know whether personal data about you is being processed, and to request its correction or deletion. Because we don't collect identifiable personal data from the calculators, most requests in practice concern analytics and advertising. You can also make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Disclosure and transfers

We don't sell data. The analytics and advertising services are provided by third parties that may process data outside the UK; they act under their own terms and appropriate safeguards. See also the cookie policy.
