Cookie policy
We use as few cookies as possible. The calculators work without them.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember, for example, that you've already dismissed the cookie notice. We also use the browser's localStorage, which works in a similar way but never leaves for a server.
The cookies and storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
lp.evasteet.v1 | localStorage, essential | Remembers that you've dismissed the cookie notice | Until you delete it |
lp.historia.v1 | localStorage, functional | Saves your most recent calculations on your own device | Until you delete it |
_ga, _ga_* | Cookie, analytics | Google Analytics: visitor numbers and the most popular pages | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising cookies | Cookie, advertising | Serving and measuring ads (Google) | Per the provider |
How to manage cookies
- Browser settings. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking doesn't break the calculators – they work without cookies.
- Calculation history. Clear it with the Clear button under the calculator.
- Ad settings. In Google's ad settings you can limit personalised advertising.
- Private browsing. In a private window the storage is cleared when you close the window – in that case the calculation history won't be kept either.
