Is the site free to use?
Yes. All the calculators are free, and using them requires no registration, subscription or app download. The site is funded by advertising.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The site works in a browser. If you like, you can add it to your phone's home screen ("Add to Home Screen"), which opens it like an app.
Do you store the numbers I enter?
No. The calculation happens in your browser. If you wish, your most recent calculations are saved in your browser's own memory, from which you can clear them at any time.
Are the results reliable?
The calculations are based on public, checkable formulas that are shown with every result. Still, the final responsibility is always yours, and for official matters you should use the relevant authority's own service.
Can I use the results in a tax return or in accounts?
You can use them as an aid, but the final responsibility is always yours and your accountant's. We don't give tax decisions. Check official figures on GOV.UK.
Why isn't the calculator showing a result?
The most common reason is an empty or invalid field – the result appears only once all the required numbers are given. Another reason is that JavaScript is disabled in the browser.
Can I suggest a new calculator?
Gladly. Tell us what you're trying to work out and in what situation – a concrete example helps most. The address is on the contact page.
May I quote the site's content?
Short quotations are fine when you name the source and add a working link. Large-scale copying and automated scraping are not allowed.
